Open Source Smart Card software and tools

Research on smartcards (and, more in particular, on Java Card-based smartcards) in the Digital Security group has led to several initiatives providing open source software for typical smartcard applications:

The ISO-DL and JavaCardSign applications have been developed in collaboration with RDW, the Dutch government's Department of Road Transport.

We also have software for reading information from a chipknip, the Dutch electronic purse, which is no longer in current.

For studying smartcard applications, former group member Gerhard de Koning Gans has developed the Smart Logic.
