The ELAN Project



Elan is an educational programming language developed at the Technical University of Berlin in 1974, under the auspices of the "Arbeitskreis Schulsprache". Even though serious software has been written in Elan, it is primary intended as a vehicle for teaching and learning systematic programming. It has a unique support for Top-Down programming (with refinements), as well as support for Bottom-Up and modular programming.
