How to get (t)here

In general

Currently our faculty is being reconstructed. Because of this reconstruction it is not always easy to find us. On this campus map the faculty tries to present the current points of entry, but even this map might be out of date. Sorry for that. Furthermore, on this map of Nijmegen you can see how you can find the university from the main roads around Nijmegen.

By Car

The best way to find your route is to use an on-line routeplanner, like the one from ANWB or Routenet. Use our ZIP code 6525 ED as key.

Within the city:
The University of Nijmegen and the University Hospital Nijmegen St Radboud are signposted as 'Universiteit', 'H Ziekenhuizen' and 'H Radboud' on all major routes into Nijmegen. See also this map of Nijmegen.

Coming from Amsterdam:
Take the A2 in the direction of Utrecht, Eindhoven.
At 'knooppunt Oudenrijn (A2xA12)' take the A12 in the direction of Arnhem.
At 'knooppunt Grijsoord (A12xA50)' take the A50 in the direction of 's Hertogenbosch, Nijmegen.
At 'knooppunt Valburg (A15xA50)' stay on the A50. At 'knooppunt Ewijk (A50xA73)' take the A73 in the direction of Nijmegen. You can stay on this highway until it ends in the city. Do NOT take the exit A73 to Venlo. Follow the signs 'Universiteit'.

At 'knooppunt Valburg (A15xA50)' take the A50 in the direction of 's Hertogenbosch, Nijmegen.

Coming from Eindhoven:

The last 10km this is not a highway yet and hence the road is called N50.
At 'knooppunt Oss (N50xA59)' take the A50 in the direction of Nijmegen.
At 'knooppunt Bankhoef (A50xA326)' take the A326 in the direction of Nijmegen.
Stay on this road until it ends in the city. Follow the signs 'Universiteit'.

Coming from Maastricht:
Take the A2 to Eindhoven.
Then follow the route given above from Eindhoven.

Coming from Düsseldorf/Cologne:
Take the A77 (A57 in Germany) in the direction of Nijmegen.
At 'knooppunt Rijkevoort (A73xA77)' take the A73 in the direction of Nijmegen. Take the exit 'Nijmegen' and then follow the signs 'Universiteit'.

Coming from France/Belgium:
Take the highway Paris-Brussels-Antwerp-Eindhoven.
Then as above from Eindhoven.

Visitors coming from Scandinavia, Germany and Switzerland are advised to use the German motorways: A3/E35 (Oberhausen-Arnhem) and A57/E31 (Krefeld-Nijmegen).

By Train

Nijmegen is easily accessible by train from all major cities in the Netherlands. Train information is given on the yellow time tables located in station halls, on train platforms as well as on the Dutch Railway site. The station 'Nijmegen Heyendaal' is on walking distance from our building. From station 'Nijmegen Centraal' you can take a taxi or bus.

You can also use OVR Reisinformatie to get a detailed route by public transport to the university.

By Bus

The best bus is the number 10, the so-called Heyendaal Shuttle. However, there are other local buses stopping on campus. On www.novio.nl you can see a map of the local lines.

You can also use OVR Reisinformatie to get a detailed route by public transport to the university.
