BIO-INSPIRED ALGORITHMS
Spring semester 2012 (3 EC master course)
Schedule and Lecture Hall: see BB

DESCRIPTION

Biologically inspired algorithms is a category of algorithms that imitate the way nature performs. This category has been quite popular, especially for solving complex optimization problems. In this course you will learn and implement modern bio-inspired algorithms and use them to solve optimization problems. Topics considered in the course include: methodology for tackling complex optimization problems, particle swarm optimization, memetic algorithms, multi-objective optimization.
