I received my Ph.D degree in electrical engineering at the Technical
University of Budapest, Hungary, in 1985. Since 1986 I am working
at Radboud University Nijmegen (RU), Dept. Computer Science.
In the past my research activity was centered around compiler construction
and natural language parsing. Later I shifted my interest to knowledge
representation.
In the beginning I was engaged in a research on formal conceptual
analysis (also known as concept lattice theory). Recently my focus is
on the definition of a model of knowledge representation on the basis
of a theory of cognitive activity and a theory of signs (semiotics).
In this project
I am working together with J.I. Farkas and A.J.J. van Breemen.
