 <h2>Who? Where?</h2>
<p>
 Lionel Elie Mamane, a junior researcher <!-- that's just a fancy name
 for "PhD student", mainly because we are not students, but full
 employees around here. The official Dutch Latin-sounding name is
 "promovendus" --> in the
 <a href="http://www.cs.kun.nl/fnds/">Foundations group</a>
 of the
 <a href="http://www.niii.ru.nl/">Institute for Computing and Information Science</a>
 (formerly Nijmeegs Instituut voor Informatica en Informatiekunde)
 of the
 <a href="http://www.sci.kun.nl/">Faculty of Science</a>
 of the
 <a href="http://www.ru.nl/">Radboud University Nijmegen</a>
 (formerly the <a href="http://www.kun.nl/">Catholic University of Nijmegen</a>).
</p>
<p>
 The latter, like most continental european universities, can be
 considered a (para-)state organisation, although formally
 incorporated as a foundation, the &ldquo;Stichting Katholieke
 Universiteit Nijmegen&rdquo; (KvK (chamber of commerce) number
 41055629; my own translation: Catholic University Nijmegen
 Foundation). But (hearsay sources inform me) significant involvment
 of the Roman Catholic Church that continues up to this day muddles
 this issue. On the other hand, the (now antiquated) tradition of <a
 href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pillarisation">pillarisation</a>
 the university is a product of means official Church involvment is
 not incompatible with being a para-state institution.

<h3>Appointments</h3>

<p>
 If you want to schedule an appointment with me, you are strongly
 encouraged (but not by me) to use the faculty's
 <a href="http://egw.cs.ru.nl/egroupware/">calendaring system</a>. I
 used to provide the credentials to my account so that people without
 an account could schedule an appointment with me, but it seems this
 unavoidably gives you too much access to <em>other</em> people's
 agendas, and it upsets these people, who I care about. So, sorry if
 you don't have an account there.

 <!-- This is the old text:
 If you
 don't have an account, use mine: <kbd>lmamane</kbd>. The password is
 the string " " (without quotes). In all cases, make sure I get an
 email about it.
 -->
 <!-- (The system won't let me take the empty string as
      password. Pfff!) -->
</p>

<h2>Ressources</h2>
<p>
 You may also want to go to my <a href="http://www.mamane.lu/">personal
 homepage</a>, which contains, among others, <a
 href="http://www.mamane.lu/concoq/">my Master's Thesis</a>.
 Or even better, grab some philosophical gems and short stories from
 <a href="http://www.angelusnovus.co.il/site/Default.aspx?l=3">Ami Bouganim's Angelus Novus</a>
 (<a href="http://www.angelusnovus.co.il/site/Default.aspx?l=3">in English</a>,
  <a href="http://www.angelusnovus.co.il/site/Default.aspx?l=2">en français</a>,
  <a href="http://www.angelusnovus.co.il/site/Default.aspx?l=1">בעברית</a>).

 This list of ressources is autogenerated by a self-hacked version of
 a PHP script I found somewhere.
