About me

My name is Maaike de Boer. I have studied Cognitive Artificial Intelligence at the University of Utrecht. I finished my PhD at TNO in collaboration with Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen. My work was mainly focused on using techniques from semantics and machine learning to improve performance in the field of complex video event retrieval.

I was associated with the Information Foraging Lab.

I continue to work at TNO in the department of Data Science, focussing on text mining, semantics and machine learning.
