ISO18013 Electronic Driving License Implementation

Overview

This page used to contain the resources for the ISO18013 Electronic Driving License reference implementation done at Radboud University Nijmegen by the Digital Security (DS) Group in cooperation with RDW and Collis. The Electronic Driving License is specified in ISO18013 Parts 1, 2, and 3. The project is now hosted at SourceForge at:

Below are the remains that really do not belong to the project but may still be useful.

Instructions

To load a fresh applet on the the card:

• Download the GP loading manger JAR file.
• To list the applets on the card, run:
  
  java -jar gpmanager.jar -list
  
  
• To delete the driving license applet (has to be done before loading if the applet is already there):
  
  java -jar gpmanager.jar -deletedeps -delete a00000024802
  
  
• To load a fresh driving license applet:
  
  java -jar gpmanager.jar -load applet.cap -install
  
  

To check the memory status of the card:

• load the memstat.cap file to the card, similar as for the license applet. The AID for this one (to delete any existing instances) is 6D656D73746174.
• run the memstat host application MemStat.class:
  
  java MemStat
  
  Not sure how accurate these figures are (little testing done).
