My name is Jaap-Henk Hoepman. I am an associate professor of privacy enhancing protocols and privacy by design in the Digital Security group at the Institute for Computing and Information Sciences of the Radboud University Nijmegen, principal scientist of the Privacy & Identity Lab, and member of iHub, Radboud University’s interdisciplinary research hub on Security, Privacy, and Data Governance.
Moreover, I am a researcher in the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society (TILT) at Tilburg University since February 2018 (until July 2019).
My main research interest are privacy by design and privacy friendly protocols for identity management and the Internet of Things.
I have joined the iHub, Radboud University’s new interdisciplinary research hub on Security, Privacy, and Data Governance.
My work on privacy design strategies referenced and mentioned in the introduction of ISO standard 27750 "Information technology - Security techniques - Privacy engineering for system life cycle processes" (to be published soon).
The 4th Interdisciplinary Summerschool on Privacy (ISP 2019) will be held September 1-6, 2019, Hotel Erica, Berg en Dal, The Netherlands. Theme: "Dark Patterns". Registration now open!
