My name is Jaap-Henk Hoepman. I am an associate professor of privacy enhancing protocols and privacy by design in the Digital Security group at the Institute for Computing and Information Sciences of the Radboud University Nijmegen, principal scientist of the Privacy & Identity Lab, and member of iHub, Radboud University’s interdisciplinary research hub on Security, Privacy, and Data Governance.
My main research interest are privacy by design and privacy friendly protocols for identity management and the Internet of Things.
I am a Fellow of the Weizenbaum Institute in Berlin from September 1 until December 31, 2019.
The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) has included the Privacy Design Strategies in their 2020 update of their Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) certification program (see this pdf for details.
The 4th Interdisciplinary Summerschool on Privacy (ISP 2019) will be held September 1-6, 2019, Hotel Erica, Berg en Dal, The Netherlands. Theme: "Dark Patterns". Registration now open!
