Travel
We advise you to book a flight to either Weeze Airport, Eindhoven Airport or Schiphol Amsterdam Airport.
- From Weeze you can take a shuttle bus to Nijmegen central station for €15.
- From Schiphol, you can take a direct train to Nijmegen for €17.80.
- From Eindhoven airport, you can take the bus to Eindhoven train station, and then a train (with transfer in ‘s Hertogenbosch) to Nijmegen.
Local transport
The IIiX organization does not provide transport service to the campus or the banquet location, please use public or personal transport means
From Nijmegen Central Station, you can take a bus to the conference venue. You can take one of the bus numbers 1 (direction Molenhoek), 3 (direction Wijchen), 4 (direction Wijchen), 10 (Heyendaal shuttle), 25 (direction Groesbeek) and 210 (direction Universiteit). The bus stop you need is “Universiteit Oostzijde” (University Eastside). The Huygens building is the green building at the opposite side of the street; you can enter it at the broad stairs about 100 meters in the direction the bus came from.
A bus ticket (one-way) costs €2 if you pay with cash to the driver.
There is a car park in the basement of the Huygens Building. Parking costs €10 per day.
Hotel options
Your best option, location-wise, is the
- Mercure Hotel Nijmegen Centre****, located next to Nijmegen central station with direct frequent buses to the conference venue. Free Wifi. Rooms are €98.00 including breakfast and local taxes (IIiX deal until July 15, please mention the conference name at your reservation).
